How To Have Fun Being Sober
After your day is done, can you honestly say that you had fun? So many people try to have fun, but they need their best friend "alcohol" to tag along with them.
A lot of people don't think they could have any fun at all, unless they are drunk or feeling that almighty buzz that comes along with drinking alcohol. You know that old saying, don't leave home with out it.
Since I finally called it quits and surrendered to my alcohol addiction and found how to have fun being sober. Ways that I thought were never possible with out drinking alcohol.
Anyone can have a ton of fun being sober, such as just taking a nice walk with your spouse or partner through the wilderness and taking in all of the beautiful sites and animals that live there in the wilderness.
Head on down to the beach and sit on the bench, breathing in the clean fresh air and just watching the waves crashing onto the beach. Walking along the beach at the waters edge holding hands with your honey, walking ever so slow and just relaxing and taking in that special moment in time.
Remember all these wonderful things when you are sitting at your desk or what ever job you do for a living, and rewind your mind to when you were in such peace and happiness strolling along the waters edge or on that hike trail in the woods.
Take a nice drive to your favorite place, stop and have some breakfast, lunch or dinner, and just talk to each other about all different things that are on your minds. You will find that the conversations go very well being sober verses conversations in a intoxicated state.
What ever the case may be, there are so many things that you can do being sober.
Yes we all know that people think that being drunk seems to make everything so much more fun. I have learned that this is so NOT TRUE. You may think that it is more fun as your get drunker and drunker as the day goes on.
The thing is, will you remember this fun? Will you survive your fun day with out injury or embarrassment? When you arrive home at the end of your fun day, can you honestly say that you truly had a great time today and we have to do it again?
When someone is having a so called fun day being drunk, what do you think the outcome of their day will be in the end?
- Will they be drunk, sick and maybe can not remember the fun filled day?
- Will they arrive home safe without and incidents along the way?
- Will they want to remember what a great time they had or just forget about it and never do it again?
- At the end of the day can they honestly say they had a fun day drunk and will have to do it again?
These are just a few things to think about if you really think the only way to have fun is being drunk.
Being sober now, I finally realize that doing things without alcohol involved is very enjoyable, and thinking back on the times being drunk, there is no comparison.
To me, life is were it should be now. Living clean and sober and being able to really enjoy everything I do and to actually remember what I did.
Try Sobriety out and just give it a chance and you will see a totally different life out there that you thought never existed.
