Sobriety - Believe In The Unbelievable
Do You Believe in Yourself
Is it possible to believe in the unbelievable? Is there something in your life that you want to really believe, but it seems so out of reach and too unbelievable to accomplish?
If you are one that may be addicted to alcohol or drugs and you want out of your addiction, you may think to yourself that it is too far out of control and to far out of reach to find sobriety, You think to yourself it would be unbelievable if you can find sobriety, but you believe it probably isn't possible and it may be too late to change.
Don't feel so bad, I felt the same way when I wanted to quit drinking alcohol, but I believed I could never quit drinking and I didn't believe in myself. I didn't give myself enough credit in believing in myself, therefore I thought it would be unbelievable if I could quit drinking.
By thinking those negative thoughts you and I will never win the battle over our addiction to alcohol.and therefore never find our sobriety.
I you don't believe in yourself and don't believe that you can get clean and sober then you will more than likely be addicted to alcohol for the rest of your life. Not a nice thing to look forward to in my opinion.
Don't you get sick and tired of people saying these things to you?
- Don't you think you have had enough?
- Don't you know when enough is enough?
- I think you have an alcohol problem.
- You don't know when to quit drinking.
- Why don't you try and get some help?
- Quit drinking or I'm leaving you and taking the children.
- Can't you just cut down on your drinking or stop altogether?
Do any of these statements sound familiar to you?
I had heard them all and even more than those listed.
Now the big question is, "What are you going to do about it? Do you believe that it is possible to stop drinking alcohol and start a new and bright future life, or do you want to live the life you now have staying on that road to possibly a dead end street?
It's your choice and your life. You are the only one that can make that decision to change even though you may think you are being forced into it. Being forced into quitting drinking alcohol is not the answer, you must want to quit drinking.
If you don't have in your mind and your heart that you want to change your life and become clean and sober again, then the time is not right for you to change your life.
With myself, it had taken many of years to finally realize that I was indeed in Denial and I had an alcohol addiction. As I wrote in one other hub, a voice came upon me and that was the end of my addiction and the beginning of my sobriety.
Listen for that voice and it may just come upon you in a moment in your life that you wouldn't ever expect. It did for me and it can happen to you too. You MUST BELIEVE in yourself and believe that you can achieve sobriety and with believing the unbelievable and staying focused on a continuous Positive Attitude in your life anything can happen when least expected.
Of course, so many alcoholics are placed into Rehab. Centers against their own will and they are only going because they are ordered to go, and not because they chose to enter Rehab. on their own. Therefore, they are not ready to stop drinking, they are only doing as they are told.
Unfortunately, those that are ordered to go to Rehab. against their own will may start in on their old ways once out, but there are those that it may be the best thing in the world to be made to enter a Rehab Center and those few months being sober may have brought a new outlook on life and the feeling of just how being sober feels again, they may just stick with that great feeling of sobriety forever after being released from their Rehab Center.
Book on Believing in Yourself
An Unbelievable Ending
How about when you decide to stop drinking and give sobriety a shot in your life and you succeed in doing so you will then say why did I wait so long to make this change in my life.
I guarantee you will be telling yourself this is truly unbelievable that I have finally found my sobriety again in my life. It happened to me and it can happen to you too, if and when you agree to yourself that you need help and you surrender to your addiction once and for all.
Get out of the denial you have been living in and start to live your life as you should being clean and sober. You will never regret that you have changed your life. It may take some getting used to for sure, but over time everything will get easier and easier and life will begin to turn around for the better and this is words out of my mouth, because it is exactly how it happened to me.
Never give up on yourself and believe that you will win the battle over your addiction and those demons that have been running and ruining your life for such a long time.
Living Life Sober has been the best thing I could have ever done for myself and my family and I know if you make the move to change your life as I did, you will be saying the same exact thing.
