Is Living A Clean And Sober Life Really That Bad
Living Life Clean and Sober
For many alcoholics I must say that sobriety has been out of their lives for some time and that includes myself. We the alcoholics get caught up in a vicious cycle of needing and drinking alcohol each and everyday forgetting about everything and everybody that surrounds our lives.
We are trapped in our addiction with feeling so helpless and in many cases useless to ourselves and our loved ones as well.
Here is the question I asked myself, and now I'm asking you. "Is living a clean and sober life really that bad?"
I thought for years that any person that didn't drink alcohol was not a cool person and square if you would call it that. I always asked myself, " I wonder how someone that didn't drink alcohol could have any type of fun in their life. Now being clean and sober myself, I can now answer my own question.
There is nothing like the life of sobriety. To be clean and sober and to be able to wake up each and everyday with a clear mind, refreshed and ready to take on the day ahead,
all being sober is a wonderful thing. What a shame we the alcoholics are wasting our precious years away.
Life as we all know it, is what we make of it. You can live a unhappy life and some don't even mind it, sad to say, and then you can live a happy and fulfilling life. It's all up to each and everyone of us just how we live our lives.
We can live with positivity or negativity, it's our choice. People may think that the way they live is the only way and are content in their lifestyle and don't think about even wanting to change their way of life, which brings me to say living clean and sober really isn't that bad after all.
How Bad Do You Want To Be Sober?
The question to all of us alcoholics is how bad do you want to be sober? Do we want a better life for ourselves and live it clean and sober or do we want to continue on the path of self destruction?
Here again, it is our own choice, but this choice we make could break us or make us. Sobriety will make your life so much better and you will thank yourself for deciding to head on down the road to recovery. In order to find your sobriety you need to take massive action and stop your addiction in it's tracks, meaning get out of your denial and surrender to your addiction. We will never be able to beat our demons because they will just continue to kill us slowly but surely. They will make us need more and more of the drug we are using to feed their hunger of our addiction..
There is only one way to beat our demons and that is taking away what they live for and that is our addiction.
Believe in yourself that you can and will be able to beat your addiction and become clean and sober. Continue to think positive thoughts and say to yourself that you can do it. You can find your sobriety again and start to live the normal life you and your families deserve.
God Bless all those that are struggling with an addiction of any kind. Remember, anyone of us can get clean and sober, but you must want it so bad you will do anything to have your sobriety back into your life. Never give up hope or on yourself. Give your life a second change and get clean and sober. You will never regret it, Believe ME!!
