So you have decided you want to get sober after many years of drinking alcohol, but you are wondering what steps to take to get started. First off, you have already taken the first step by saying you want to get sober and stop drinking alcohol.
Getting sober is easy, staying sober is the hard part. To be able to achieve long term sobriety is not an easy thing to do when you have been so used to drinking alcohol for so many years.
It has taken you many years of drinking alcohol to build up your tolerance to alcohol and it will take a lot of hard work, devotion and dedication to get sober and stay sober.

HOW BEING POSITIVE HELPS TO GET SOBER
Lets say while drinking alcohol you might have been somewhat negative in many things you had done. The alcohol helps with those negative feelings in life bringing you down and depressed over time.
You wonder why you feel so down in the dumps after drinking alcohol, but while drinking, you feel on top of the world and feel as if you are indestructible. Yes in deed, that alcohol you are drinking can bring you up and bring you down, sometimes so far down that you hit rock bottom and find it far worse to come back up to the surface then if you would of tried quitting drinking before it got to that point in your life.
Thinking, acting and being positive in your life will indeed help with your quest of achieving sobriety and being clean and sober again.
It will take some real hard work on your part, but as we all know, nothing is easy in life if we want positive results.
Speaking from my experiences and my addiction to alcohol, I can honestly say that being positive and having that positive attitude embedded into your mind, all things get easier and the results get even better.
Can you just imagine if you wanted to quit drinking alcohol and you said to yourself, "I want to quit drinking, but I don't think I can do it". Well, if you have that attitude you will never stop drinking that's for sure.
Negativity in any one's life gets zero results and you will find yourself stuck in the life you lead now.
What I did to get the ball rolling and be able to get sober and stay sober was, I psyched myself up knowing that I was about to start a new life, a new life with the word sobriety in it.
These are the thoughts I embedded in my mind:
- I will not let this addiction run and ruin my life any more.
- I will not be defeated by my inner demons.
- I will not fail at achieving my sobriety.
- I will get sober.
- I will stay sober.
- Nothing will stop me from achieving my sobriety
- Nothing will stop me from achieving my dreams and my goals in life.
These are just a few ideas that maybe you might want to embed into your mind before you head off and grab sobriety by the horns and live that clean and sober life again.
You will be surprised just how being positive gives you those positive results you are out to get. If you want positive result and ways to get sober and stay sober then I would suggest getting all negative thoughts out of your mind and start thinking positive and you will be on your way to a bigger and brighter sober life ahead.
Sobriety is a wonderful thing, and when living so many years without it, you tend to forget that feeling of being sober.
Lets not forget the feeling of sobriety and if you want to get sober and stay sober try some of my ideas and ways that worked for me. I have been sober now for over one year and haven't had any urges or desires to go back my past addicted life.
You may think you are not capable of achieving sobriety, but don't feel bad, I felt the exact way and I fooled myself, I did it, and I can give a lot of my success of getting sober and staying sober just by the way I embedded those thoughts into my mind from the very beginning of my decision to get sober.
Don't ever get discourage.
Don't ever give up on yourself.
Get those Positive Attitude thoughts flowing and prepare to Get Sober and Stay Sober!
