How To Overcome Your Fear Of Being Sober

Everyone in this world has a fear of one thing or another, but the fear of being sober and having sobriety in your life is a little harder to overcome, at least I think so.

How to overcome your fear of being sober takes a bit of work and determination on your part, but you can overcome this fear of being sober as I did.

I think having the fear of sobriety in an alcoholics life would scare them to death only because they haven't had sobriety in their lives for sometime. For me, I didn't know how my body would react with the absence of alcohol in my system, so being I had that fear I just continued to drink alcohol and said I would worry about it later.

Yeah, later, did you hear what I said? The old saying went, "better late then never." Sometime you may be too late to change. The damage that alcohol does to a human body can and will be devastating if not caught in time. So what are we waiting for? Lets go out and find our sobriety and have now fear of being sober.

That's exactly what I did when i had enough of the same old thing day after day. I said to myself, " what's the use in trying to beat these demons I have?" I needed to surrender to my addiction and do it fast, but safely as well. I was afraid of being sober not knowing how i would feel being in a different world than I was used to being in.

Sobriety I found was not as bad as i thought, in fact it is the best thing in world! If I knew just how being sober 24/7 felt I would have done this years ago. I can't explain really how i feel being sober and not being afraid of sobriety, except that I am sure glad I did it and if you ever decide to turn your life around and get sober you will see exactly what I am talking about.

Being sober is a world in itself and there is nothing like waking in the morning and feeling fresh, bright eyed and ready to take on your day feeling great and not hung over.

Sobriety is not dangerous, in fact it will make you a stronger person by not letting your addiction run your life. Stand up to your addiction and never say I can never be sober because it is so possible to become sober, only if you want to be. If not, you are missing out on a great life.

No one needs to be dependent on alcohol. It's up to you whether you want to live drunk or live sober. I looked at my life even though I was afraid to give up drinking alcohol and saw that the life I was living was heading nowhere, or should I re-word that, by saying it was going somewhere, and that was down to rock bottom.

Like I said I was scared to death to quit drinking, but when your body and mind are trying to tell you something is wrong and you'd better fix it and fix it fast, you tend to listen, or I should say, you should listen to your body and mind if you were smart.

So, the point I am trying to make to you is never be afraid of being sober. It will never hurt, but I have to say your addiction to alcohol will eventually kill you and if that doesn't kill you, then something that was affiliated with drinking alcohol will, such as declining health.

Is that how you want to live your life being sick and with poor health all because you were afraid to be sober. If you think real hard I bet your answer is, " No, I don't want to be sick because of my addiction to alcohol." If you said NO, then what is the problem? Surrender and get sober, it will never hurt only make you a better person and a healthier one too.
